What fun to be able to break the winter doldrums by collaborating with the wonderfully talented ladies at Beehive Beauty Shop in Wasilla. Beehive, specifically owner Jessica Steele, are huge supporters of artists of all types. They organized a mid winter shoot with stations for photographing beautifully made up models, each with their own flair based around the them ‘Queens’. I had the pleasure of shooting with lovely Samantha, who played Queen of Hearts.
I love these images. They’re dramatic, memorable and unique. Even more memorable, I was literally up to my rear end in snow as I shot them, which made for some hilarious shenanigans during the shoot. Gotta love Alaska baby!
